Paper (due 2.12.2008 at midnight):
Students are required to write a three-page paper (no title pages)
outlining the social, economic, and ecological impact of the Jamestown
settlement on the Chesapeake region (and the native people). Papers must
be based on lectures and assigned readings (no outside sources). This
paper must be typed in Times New Roman font at 12 point and must be
double-spaced with 1.25 margins. Punctuation, style, footnotes, etc.,
will be according to Kate L. Turabian, A Manual for Writers of Term
Papers, Theses, and Dissertations. The papers will be submitted
electronically in a MS Word format via Vista/Blackboard by midnight on
February 12. A letter grade will be deducted for each day the paper
is
late. No papers will be accepted after midnight on February 15.
